Alicia Beth Guillaume

Alicia Beth Guillaume (nee: Cordrey) passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at the young age of 44 while vacationing in San Luis Obispo, California. Alicia was born on October 27, 1975 in Rochester, NY. She grew up in the Western New York area before moving to Baton Rouge Louisiana at the age of 17. There she met her high school sweetheart who became the love of her life. Her dedication and devotion as a wife and mother were unprecedented. Her core passion and joy were to raise their remarkable children, Mason and Madison. She had a very kind, gentle, and nurturing personality and always made sure everyone else's needs were taken care of before her own. On any given day you could find Alicia at her home preparing the best tasting meals in Louisiana, or often sitting on her deck drinking a cup of coffee, enjoying nature, her pets, especially her cats, and overlooking her beautiful gardens. Alicia had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed traveling. She loved to test her fuel tank just to see how many miles her car would go while driving on “E”. Unfortunately, her car may have won on occasion… Her other interests included hiking, going to see a live band or two, playing pool, and spending quality time with friends and family. Alicia is survived by her husband Demetrius Guillaume, son Mason James Guillaume (Ellora Reeves) and daughter Madison Rose Guillaume. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy “Lynn” Offhaus (nee: Shoup) and step-father Darryl. She was the oldest of four surviving siblings and their children, Julie Cordrey (Janae & Brianna Ellis), Jeannette Chaplin (Landyn Elliott), Jamie Offhaus (Blake Conroy & Wyatt Croakman) and Darryl Offhaus Jr. In addition to the above family members Alicia will be greatly missed by the Guillaume family, a multitude of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and all of those who knew and loved her everywhere. She is predeceased by her father Mark Ivan Cordrey. Grandparents Ivan & Alanna (nee: Lyons) Cordrey and Ernest & Joyce (nee: Sherman) Shoup. Honorable mention to Ruth Price O’Connor and the late Randall Chaplin who were there to love and guide Alicia in her formative years. Services will be held at a later date at the family’s discretion.
