Mr. Richard Carroll

Richard Carroll (1936-2022) of Arroyo Grande passed away from this life to GOD’s glory March 28, 2022, due to heart failure. Richard was born to Archie and Lorena Carroll in McCory, Arkansas. Following Archie’s return from WWII, the family moved to Sacramento. Richard graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School, Sacramento City College, California State University, Sacramento and Golden Gate University with an MBA. He met and married his first wife, Willie in 1961, and had 53 years of loving marriage before Willie passed away. Follow his graduation from CSU Sacramento, Richard, Willie and their 2 young boys (Allen and Brian) moved to San Jose where Richard was employed by IBM. Richard managed in the Silicon Valley high tech environment until retirement. Upon retirement moved to Cambria where Richard was a partner in the Sand Shell Real Estate brokerage office. Richard accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at the age of 16, and has consistently served as a Bible teacher, Deacon, and other capacities throughout his spiritual journey. In Cambria, Richard was active in Real Estate, The Breakfast for Champions, and the Cambria Odd Fellows. Later Richard met and married Lynne Savery on September 9, 2017, is Pismo Beach. They made their home in Arroyo Grande and Richard became a stepfather to Stacy and Cindy. Richard was pre-deceased by parents Archie and Lorena Carroll, sister Burma Joanne, wife Willie and son Allen. Richard is survived by his wife Lynne, son Brian, daughter in-law Cheryl Carroll, stepdaughters Stacy Church and Cindy Dakovich, grandchildren Shawn and Ibelise Carroll, Brooke and Kevin Cooper, Jesse Carroll, Rachel and Dylan Maack, Joseph Carroll, numerous great grandchildren and many loving friends. From a skinny little boy in Arkansas to the Lord’s servant to the world of high-tech, Richard would want all to know how blessed his life has been from his salvation, and opportunities in the Lord’s service, to a great family heritage, to great friends in the Lord’s service. Richard would also say to all his family and friends who know Jesus Christ as Savior… “I’ll see you again when with the Lord”. A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church of Cambria, in Cambria California on April 8th 2022.
