In Loving Memory of Gail Negranti Miller January 22, 1956 – April 18, 2026 Gail Negranti Miller, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, wife, nurse, and friend passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by her family, after courageously fighting cancer with incredible strength, grace, and unwavering faith. Through every challenge, Gail never lost her positive spirit, loving heart, or deep trust in God. She is now reunited in Heaven with the loved ones she dearly missed. Gail was born on January 22, 1956, in San Luis Obispo, a place that would always hold a special place in her heart. She later moved to Bakersfield, where she met Joe Miller. The two were married on July 7, 1979, and built a beautiful life together built on love, family, and faith. Throughout the years, life took them from Atascadero to Taft and eventually back to Bakersfield, where Gail spent much of her life surrounded by her family. Although Bakersfield became home, her heart was always drawn to the California coast and the beaches of San Luis Obispo, where she found peace and happiness whenever she could visit. Gail was a devoted and loving mother to her four children: Dustin, Chad, Kyle, and Melissa. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories full of love, laughter, and support. Whether it was family gatherings, beach trips, shopping days, or simply being together, Gail cherished every moment with the people she loved most. Later in life, Gail pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Her determination and compassionate nature led her to a career where she cared for others with exceptional kindness and dedication. Nursing was a perfect reflection of who Gail was — nurturing, selfless, compassionate, and always willing to put others before herself. She touched the lives of many patients, coworkers, friends, and family members with her caring spirit and gentle heart. Gail was a woman of deep faith who loved God wholeheartedly. She enjoyed attending church, participating in Bible studies, spending time with friends, shopping, and making memories with the people she loved most. She especially cherished girls’ nights out and shared an incredibly close bond with her sisters, Denise and Lynette, as well as her extended family on both the Negranti and Machado sides. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Nadine Negranti, and by her beloved sisters, Denise Alkire and Lynette Negranti. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Joe Miller; and their kids Dustin Miller and his wife Karen and their kids Kirsten, Madeleine, Olivia, and their granddaughter Hailey, Chad Miller and his wife Amanda and their son Cap, Kyle Miller and his wife Felicia and their kids Reed, Demi, Devon and Makinsey, and Melissa Brannon and her husband Tylor and their kids Kaden and Adlee; and many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort knowing Gail’s beautiful spirit lives on through the family she adored, the lives she touched, and the faith she carried so strongly throughout her life. We’d love for anyone who knew Gail to join us in celebrating her life.
