The state of California requires all  funeral homes, crematories, and cemeteries to be licensed, They also require their managers and counselors to be licensed,

Information on the website allows consumers to check the status of those licenses, file complaints against a a funeral home, crematory, cemetery, and or their  manager, or counselor, download forms, and the  "Dept. of Consumer Affairs guide to funeral and cemetery  purchases ". It also includes contact information for their field represenitives, and other informational  links..
